The Newbies Success Guide To Sell Stuff On EBay

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

I just cleaned out my attic and garage and found that I had a whole pile of stuff I needed to get rid of. I hated the idea of dumping this stuff out by the curb for the garbage collector to pick up, especially since some of these things still had plenty of useful life in them. I had an old mantle clock, some really nice picture frames, some empty suitcases, and a collection of movies I hadn’t watched in ages. So rather than junk everything, I decided it was time to sell stuff on eBay.

I’d never really used an online auction site before but I figured it couldn’t be too difficult to sell stuff on eBay, so I went over to the site and looked around a bit. No doubt there were plenty of people selling lots of similar items through the auction site, so I knew that I should be able to do so as well. I checked the various categories that eBay has for their listings, and I found that there are a vast number of sections where items can be posted for sale.

After poking around a while I decided that I was ready to get started. Just like many other sites on the Internet, an auction site like eBay is going to require you to set up an account and create a profile before you begin to take advantage of their service. So I decided I would create an account, and it only took me a few minutes to get my information entered and verified, and within no time at all I was ready to sell stuff on eBay.

Next, I had to create some listings for the items I wanted to sell. In order to make that a bit easier on myself, I did a search using eBay’s simple search field and found people selling the same sorts of things I had to offer. After all, if I planned to sell stuff on eBay for the first time, I might as well take advantage of other people’s experience and expertise, right? Within a half an hour I had found several auction listings that were similar to my own items, and I used these listings as a guide for creating mine. To me, that’s a smart way to sell stuff on eBay: find out what works and duplicate it.

In the end, I found that it was pretty darned easy to sell stuff on eBay, and now that I’ve got the hang of it, I’ll probably do it a lot more often. In a matter of a little over a week I sold all but one of those items from the attic and the garage, and I stand to pocket over $100 from things I would have otherwise put out by the curb for the trash collector. To my mind, that’s a big win.

One Plain And Simple Answer To What Is Blog

Friday, August 28th, 2009

Possibly you have heard the term blog and wondered what is blog? The plain answer to the question is; A blog is a web site, often produced by an individual, to endorse that persons hobbies and interests. A technical answer about blogs is a bit of an oxymoron though. It goes against the founding essence of what blogging is. Blogs are to websites as indian casinos are to vegas. Blogs are to websites as the county fair is to Disneyland. Blogs are to websites as a rowboat is to a cruise ship. In other words they are smaller, lighter, faster moving, more personal, less complicated and usually more fun.

Blogging has become a preferred pastime for lots of people, they love to blog about their cats or how their basketball team is number one. They sometimes post story after story of the fishing trips they have taken or the latest ideas on how to mod your xbox. In fact you will find blogs on just about every subject imaginable. Just go to Google and type in a word followed by blog and you are sure to get some results. But what is all the fuss about? Do some people just have that much to say?

Well, Yes. Many people have tons to say and love to spread their knowledge. Many people see blogging as a means to keep in contact with the world. Others see blogging as a way to produce money. No Matter the reason, there are thousands of new blogs being created at this very moment.

Blogs are exploding onto the scene due to their simplicity of design. The fact that you are reading this blog post informs me that you are capable of beginning a blog of your own. You could have your very own blog and a presence on the World Wide Web less than half an hour from now if you got after it right now. There are a number of blogging services that will give you a free blog account and set the website up for you completely in seconds, all you have to do at that point is write a few words. The most difficult part of the process is deciding what title to use for your blog account. I am not joking.

The beauty of a blog is that you can convey your words, your thoughts and your ideas out to the world without any filter. With blogging there is no editorial staff to filter your submission. You are the editor in chief. Having a blog lets you to vent your frustrations, share your joys, and let people know what makes you tick. And if you are an interesting person you could develop a following and even turn your blog into a source of income.

Don’t expect a lot at first. If you decide to publish a blog consider it an outlet. Even if you are the most interesting person in the world it is going to take a little time for your light to shine through the forest of other blogs. If your idea is to become famous you most likely have quite a bit of work ahead of you and you should already know what a blog is. But if you want to share information on topics that are near and dear to your heart, blogging is a great way to go. At least now you know what is a blog?
