Submitting Articles For Maximum Traffic

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Submitting articles to the search engines is a time honored strategy for generating traffic. It has been used since the early days of the Internet and is still an effective traffic generation strategy even in our Web 2.0 times.

There are a lot of questions over the best method of submitting articles for maximum traffic and effectiveness. What are the best techniques and which are the most effective?

The first technique is to submit your article to the granddaddy of all article directories, EzineArticles. This site has built a reputation of being the best article directory in town. It is loved by marketers and by readers and most importantly, by Google.

It is a source of frustration to many marketers who find it hard to meet the submission guidelines or cope with the timescales for articles to be approved.

However, if you read their guidelines and stick to them, your articles will get through without a hitch.

Once they are in Ezinearticles you instantly receive benefits from it. Articles in this directory tend to rank very well in Google, even without backlinks to them.

Add in a few backlinks and suddenly you find your articles are ranking in the top ten for moderately competitive keywords. In fact, even without backlinks they can often rank well just because they are on Ezinearticles.

Once your article has been published you need to do some simple backlinking to it just to give it that extra boost in the search engines.

Firstly, take your Ezinearticle author RSS feed and submit it to RSS directories. You can either use a tool or do it by hand. If you are doing it by hand, just pick the top ten directories in a Google search and that will be good enough for now. You can always submit to more later on, so make sure you keep track of which ones you have added your feed to.

You can also use one of the many ping sites to ping your article. This does give Ezinearticles a lift, but it also gets your article noticed.

Finally, social bookmark your article. Again, you can either use a tool or do it manually. If your article is newsworthy and well written then you can look at adding it to sites such as Digg or Stumbleupon to get further links and traffic.

Of course, there are other article directories out there, but none of them carry the weight of Ezinearticles. Google Knoll is a current contender and is very popular with marketers who are using it to submit their articles too. So far though, these don’t seem to be ranking as well as Ezinearticles, but it is a good way to get the Big G to notice your sites.

For the other article directories it is not worth submitting articles manually to them, except maybe the top half a dozen big directories. Many of the rest get so little traffic it is not worthwhile, except for the backlink. Therefore you should either outsource or automate these submissions to free up your time to concentrate on building your business.

If you are submitting articles then you need to make sure they are on Ezinearticles for maximum traffic. Do some simple backlinking to your article and you will easily find your articles ranking well for their keywords and bringing you good traffic.

Is Your Lead Generation Targeted?

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

What is goin’ on? My name is Landon Stewart. You might have heard of me before. Maybe, maybe not. I am here to give you one of the most overlooked parts of network marketing that I have ever seen

In all honesty, you might not even think it’s a big deal right now. I wouldn’t want to call you wrong. But there’s just no way to call you right either. People just have a big problem.

You see they are going out there and generating traffic, but the traffic does not produce targeted lead generation.

Are you picking up what I am putting down?

It seems to me that most network marketers just happen to forget who their target audience is. They forget that they have the GREATEST job in the world. They have the only job that they can pick exactly who they want to work with. Not a whole lot of jobs that I know of can say that.

Targeted lead generation just seems to be missing from most people?s marketing strategy.

Most network marketers are going after the guy that “needs” the money, and not necessarily the guy that is going to make money. I’m not saying it’s wrong to help out a friend, or to help the less fortunate become the more fortunate. However, if a person does not have the desire to succeed, you cannot put it inside him. Our target audience is not the bums looking for a J-O-B

A network marketer?s target audience is other network marketers. It really doesn?t seem that complicated to me.

Have you ever heard the quote ?Don?t preach to the choir.??

I never understood that one.

I mean if you think about it the choir is a pastor?s perfect target audience. They are already buying what he?s selling. He doesn?t have to convince them of anything.

Think how much easier it would be to sell your products that are already wanting to buy your products.

Funny thing about that is. We are on an internet filled with thousands upon THOUSANDS of people already buying what we?re selling.

We just have to go out and get them.

Need a little bit of help with that?

Why don?t you head on over to my blog right now where I will teach you how to have use the most targeted lead generation methods ever invented to your advantage.

Not only that, but on my blog you will be able to sign up for my 7 Day Marketing Challenge that is made about getting traffic. I know that the reason why 90% of people in this biz fail is because they don?t have traffic coming to a website. Great Tips For Generating Traffic

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Are you looking to attract people to your online business? Blogging is a popular marketing strategy that will inform potential consumers about your business, products, and services. Creating a blog that boosts sales is easy and inexpensive.

Create a blog that stands out from the rest. You can use color and unique layouts that will grab people’s attention from the start. You can also match your blog to your website, to make it look professional. Make sure the content is interesting, and engaging to the reader. If you capture the reader’s attention right away, they are going to keep on reading. A great way to learn how to create awesome blogs and get them ranked in the search engines VERY quickly is by visiting the Make Fast Money Free blog. Just go down to the “Blog Archive” and in November 2009 read the review on the Google Sniper.

Make sure to post on your blog regularly. People will be drawn to your blog and website if you post a lot. You can also give people the option to receive RSS feeds from your blog. If they are attracted to the information on your blog, they will sign up. Try to post on your blog daily, or at least a few times a week.

Use popular keywords when you write your articles. People will easily find you through the search engines, and you will generate new business this way. You can enter tags after each blog posting, to capture a larger audience. Make sure to use tags and labels that pertain to the blog posting.

Many blogs allow readers to post their comments. Make sure you read the comments, and answer any questions that people have. You can boost sales by communicating with the people who read your blog. You can develop a trustworthy relationship this way, and promote your products and services.

Also, adding video to your blog from time to time is a great way to get visitors interested and keep them on your site a little longer.

If you’re anything like me, when I’m viewing a pdf of something instructional I always wish there was a video to go along with it to help me understand better. Adding video to your blog for certain posts can be very beneficial to the reader that is either blind or just simply understands better by watching.

Less Work On You

If you’re reading this, then I’m sure you have at least once in your lifetime headed over to YouTube. Now, have you noticed something about 90% of these videos? Most of them are relatively short. The reason why videos provide less work on a blogger is because one can easily get through to the reader, the problem and solution within less than 3 minutes. Try writing a good quality article in 3 minutes! Trust me, it won’t happen!

Strictly Entertainment

Along with taking the work load off, when adding a video to your blog,it is also great entertainment for you and your audience. For some reason when it comes up in my head to add video to my blog I get merely excited! Besides that, some people just really pleasure hearing different people’s voices and actually seeing the author’s face.

Conclusion

Adding video to a blog in order to get a point through is often times good. Now, the only downside I see in video blogging is not getting content for the search engines, but other than that it’s definitely a popular approach nowadays! So the next time you think you have to write a long article to give your readers a lesson, just simply remember what I said and add a video instead! Now go visit Make Fast Money Free

How Drive Masses Of Free Website Traffic To Your Web Pages

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Without traffic, your website is virtually worthless. There are many ways in which you can drive masses of website traffic to your web pages, but there are only two significant free ways in which to do that.

No, its not by joining forums or trying to use Web2 or social networking sites. Don?t believe everything you are told about these. I use them all. I belong to more forums that there are days in the month, and can count on one hand the number that actually provides me with a visitor to my website now and again.

If you belong to Technorati, Facebook, Spurl, MySpace and every other social site in the top thirty list, they can be useful, but don?t provide a fraction of the traffic to your website that you can achieve in other ways, simply because that is not what these sites are for. The so-called Web2 sites, or social networking or bookmarking sites, are for social intercourse and allowing people an easy way to communicate with each other.

They are not to provide traffic to you, and many feel resentful that their good sites have been hijacked by internet marketers as a means of generating traffic and advertising to their websites. In fact a few such sites have died due to spamming by advertisers who had no interest in using the sites as they were intended to be used. There are other social sites that are currently at risk for the very same reason.

The way to get masses of free website traffic is through rapid listings on the major search engines, and then improving those listings until they are in the top 10 of the major two: Google and Yahoo. MSN is growing, and you will likely get listed there if you are already in the big two.

There are ways of doing this without having to hurt other websites, and that is to understand what the search engines are seeking when they crawl your web pages. Most will say that nobody knows what they are looking for, but that is nonsense. Perhaps the unsuccessful don?t know, but many do, and if you use that knowledge then you can beat, not only the spiders, but also your competitors.

In fact, to be realistic, nobody will ever beat the search engines since they will change their algorithms whenever they feel that they need to be changed in order to maintain or improve their service to their customers. Since these customers are the users that are seeking information, then the algorithms will change to improve the quality of that information. And rightly so!

Many people believe the search engine the enemy, and something to be beaten. Many SEO experts feel the same. The correct attitude to take is that the search engines are trying to meet the needs of their customers in the best way that they can. If you do the same with your web pages, then you and the search engines will have the same objective, and your task for a high listing will suddenly become a lot easier.

There are ways to achieve this without having to spend lots of money. Provide the information that would normally be logically sought by somebody using your web page keyword as their search term. Don?t fill your content full of the keyword, but provide genuine information right on topic. Each of your web pages are judged separately, so use them for different keywords and provide information on each that relates to that keyword.

Don?t use each page for the same topic. Think on what you want to find when you are looking for information online, and provide that to your visitors. If they are impressed they might bookmark your site, which might appear in the social bookmarking websites and be spotted by others interested in your topic. That is what such sites are for, not blatant advertising.

However, don?t forget how spiders read your pages. There are ways to optimize each web page for the spiders as well as for humans. Achieve the correct balance between both, and you will win. Fail, and you will lose. It is a simple as that.

The search engines are not ogres; that are not after you, or they would be after everybody and no websites would survive. They simply want to be sure that your information will meet the needs of their customers. That?s why meta tags are largely meaningless, since the crawler will make its own mind up based upon the content of your page.

That is also why internal lining strategies are of critical importance, since you can send spiders on whatever trail you want to lead them. However, you have to know what you are doing with that or you are likely to fail utterly and end up with your web page invisible online among the supplementary results rather than drive masses of free website traffic to your web pages.

Lucrative List Building: The Squeeze Page

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Most internet marketing professionals agree that if you don?t have a list, then you don?t really have a business. Building a lucrative list is essential to your success. A customer list is the greatest asset of any business. In internet marketing, your customer list is your personal gold mine.

After you solve the problem of generating traffic to your website, it then becomes necessary to capture the name and email address of your visitor so you can build your own customer list. If you fail to do this, your business will fail.

It?s amazing to me how many people spend a ton of effort and money on getting visitors to their site where they pitch a product in hopes of getting a sale and then fail to capture their visitor?s name and email address.

You must focus your attention on building your list instead of on trying to make your initial sale. Remember, only 1 in a 100 people is going to buy your product after arriving at your website. You must capture the other 99 people?s name and email address so that you can show your product(s) to them again in the future.

There are a few techniques you can use to capture your visitor?s information and build a lucrative list. Here are the three ?biggies? which are the most effective:

1. The Squeeze Page
2. The Pop-Up, and
3. A Simple Opt-in Form

The best method to use of the three ways to build a list is the squeeze page. A regular opt-in form might get a 10% to 20% opt-in rate, while a squeeze page is more likely to produce a 20% to 40% opt-in rate of the total number of visitors who arrive at your website.

A squeeze page is a web page with only one purpose: to capture the information details of your visitor. The squeeze page is different from using a pop-up or normal opt-in form because you don?t allow your visitor access to your website unless they give you their name and email address, and/or other details.

Therefore, a squeeze page must ?sell? the benefits of your website to your visitor. A good squeeze page must have a strong benefit driven headline to grab the reader?s attention, some bullet points outlining the benefits of your website, and a call to action.

The best squeeze pages are not long. Do not make your visitor scroll down the page to opt-in. Other best practices include placing your photo on the page, make bold every other bullet point, and put a box around your “call to action” which is merely your opt-in form. Tell the visitor exactly what to do in no uncertain terms.

You must provide enough information to entice your visitors to leave their name and email address. Use good copywriting and sales techniques to ?squeeze? your customers into joining your list. To ensure that people opt-in, you usually have to bribe them.

Offer some kind of free gift to bribe your visitor. A short report, a mini-course, a subscription to your newsletter, or an audio or video file is usually enough to get your visitor to join your list. In your call to action, be sure to let your visitors know that they will be given their free gift immediately after clicking the ?submit? button located on your form.

Just a note here: You will not be sending your customers to your web page immediately after they enter their information details. Instead, you will send them to your ?One Time Offer? page which is the subject of one of my other articles in this series of articles on list building.

Newbies are often afraid to use a squeeze page. They think that not enough people will choose to opt-in to their list. It?s true that you will need to write convincing copy and you will have to offer a valuable gift to get your visitor to opt-in. But you need not worry about visitors who don?t choose to opt-in. If your visitors are not even interested enough to give you their email address, then they probably won?t be interested enough to buy from you either.
