Learn The Basics To Article Marketing That Can Help Advertise Your Business Online

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Anytime you begin your career in online marketing, there are definitely things to know about article submission that can powerfully enhance your marketing efforts. Article submission has become one of the best strategies for improving search engine rankings and driving quality traffic to your web site. You can increase your site’s popularity dramatically with just one well written article, if you know how and where to submit it.

By submitting your articles to the relevant directories, your goals of increasing traffic to your site will appear before you faster than you thought they could. The power of just one well-written article, handled properly, can do more for you than most people realize. Your article must be what’s referred to today as ‘SEO’, or ‘Search Engine Optimized’. This means that the keywords of your article are targeted at your niche, and when your site gets spidered by the search engines, they will give you a higher ranking if your keywords are used in the proper way in your articles.

One type of directory submission that goes along with article submission, is deep link submission. The difference in the deep link submission and regular article submission, is that the deep link submission will list each individual URL for each page of your site, and not just the homepage. This will cause you to get an even distribution of back-links and traffic to all your pages. This kind of submitting gains more exposure in the search engines.

Some facts about article submission that may not be known, are that many sites now exist where your articles can be submitted for free, and that they’re really very easy to find. Another fact is that when you write your article and get it ready to submit, the ‘bio’ box, or ‘resource’ box, is your best friend. Anyone who reads your article will have a link to view your website from.

One extremely powerful tool that’s come along is the RSS feed. These are gold mines if you’re a good article writer. The amount of traffic that can be generated by these syndicated feeds will amaze you. You can take one quality article that gets sent out over one of these RSS feeds, and be flooded with traffic from it. They really are remarkable, and it’s well worth your time to learn just how they work and how to make the most of them.

For those who are a bit lazy, or who are too busy, there is software available for doing the actual article submitting for you. It’s an investment, and not really cheap, but it can more than pay for itself if you submit articles on a regular basis. It can be a very tedious thing to manually submit your articles to the directories. And a submission service may charge as much as fifteen to twenty five dollars to submit your article to a hundred sites or more. But if you plan to submit more than one a day, think of how much that could add up to. You’re better off to get the software.

Anytime you’re involved in submitting articles, the focus needs to be on your content. But just as important as content is ‘where’ you do your submitting. You don’t want to write a beautiful article, and then place it in the wrong directory. While you may get visitors, they may not be the kind you’re looking for. They may come under false pretenses. So be sure you put your articles in the right place for effective and targeted traffic to come to your site.

Learning some facts about article submission is the first order of business for anyone who intends to use article marketing as part of their marketing strategy. It’s a powerful tool, and it’s not to be overlooked or underestimated. But it also needs to be done correctly. So taking the time to research the proper ways of going about it can be both educational and profitable. It’s a fact that good quality articles are money-makers, when article submission is done the right way.

Article Composing Enigmas & Techniques - Five Ways To Never Run Out Of Material To Say In Your Articles

Friday, November 13th, 2009

Do you ever find yourself staring at a blank screen or a blank sheet of paper when you’re supposed to be writing articles for your blog, for your ezine or newsletter and for article submission so you can promote your books, products or services?

How would you like to find ways to tap into a limitless supply of article ideas?

Yes, our imaginations run thin every now and then, and no, it isn’t easy to come up with article ideas sometimes. But, I promise you that there are ways to tap into a limitless supply of article ideas for Online Marketing. No matter what your expertise lies in, you can always generate new and interesting ideas for articles IF you follow these guidelines…

5 Ways to Never Run Out of Article Ideas

1) Get inspiration from magazines covers.

Find a magazine that is as close as you can get to your niche and look at the titles on the magazine cover. Look at the titles that jump out at you and make you say, “That looks like it would be a good article-I want to read that!”

Many times you can bounce an article off of a title you see on a magazine cover. Can you convert that title to apply to something in your specific niche?

Now, notice I’m saying, “find a magazine that is somewhat in your niche.” Many of us have websites that are in niches that do not have their own magazines. For example, there is no magazine that I know of about Article publishing.

But I sashay a short distance from my specific niche and look in related niches, such as Writing, Creativity, Productivity, and possibly even SEO. These are all issues that lie at the heart of article marketing, so they work as inspiration launching pads.

2) Don’t forget about the newbies.

When we’re writing on our area of expertise, sometimes we can overlook the obvious. We want to write helpful, educational articles, and our minds quite often go to topics that are more advanced.

Have you ever considered that someone reading your article might not even understand the basics of what you’re talking about?

I have to remind myself of this all the time-not everyone knows what article marketing is, and not everyone even knows the reasons why it’s a popular Online Marketing tool.

Could the same thing be true in your niche?

Think about it-although our articles are not sales oriented or promotional in any way, when we educate our readers on some aspect of our niche, we are increasing the likelihood that they will one day be our customers.

So, don’t forget about the newbies who are in your target market but aren’t knowledgeable about what you do. Try to think back to questions you had when you were first starting out. Think about what confused you. Think about the very basic things that you wish someone had explained to you before you became the expert.

3) Think about: “What are the 10 questions that my customers (or potential customers) most frequently ask me?”

Write those questions down and address each one of them in a separate article.

By completing this writing exercise, you’re letting your target market tell you what to write about. This makes perfect sense since you’re trying to appeal to them anyway.

4) Use template titles and fill in the blanks.

Here are some of mine:

* 10 Great Reasons Why ____
* How To ____ in 7 Easy Steps
* 3 Secret Tricks For _____
* How To Conquer ______
* The Top 10 Mistakes People Make When ____
* Reader Question: “[insert question here]“

You may notice that these titles are all List articles (any article that has a 1,2,3 etc list in it), How-To articles, and Question articles (articles that answer a question that is stated in the title).

These are my go-to article topic stimulators. Just seeing the format for the title gets the wheels of my brain moving (which helps creativity!)

Try filling in the blanks for the template titles listed above, and I bet you can come up with a compelling title to base a new article on.

5) Use Instant Article Writing Templates

Making Money On Internet From Home By Composing Articles - What You Must Know

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

If you have a love for writing and have often wondered if there was a way for you to make a full or part time living from your passion. Then you will be pleased to hear that you really can make money from writing and publishing your work online.

There are a host of websites that will pay you for writing for them. You may have heard of Bukisa and eHow which are two of the most popular Article writing websites around, I personally am a member of both websites but, I use them for two
different reason.

eHow.com is a website that requires you to write your articles all beginning with the same title “How to” Which is one of the most popular search terms in Online Marketing. I like using eHow because you can make good social and business contacts there,

The downside of eHow is their insistence that all of your article titles begin with “How to” I find this particular point a major pain in the rear end because it hurts my overall SEO results. You should also be aware that Ehow only pays money to people who live in the USA at this moment in time.

Bukisa.com has none of the constraints of ehow, as far as writing your article headlines goes. What I really like about this website is that your articles get indexed in Google’s search results very quickly. You will find this very handy especially if you have you’re own blog or Home Based Business Opportunity website. My main problem with Butiska is that it’s user interface can be extremely tempermental at times and you will get frustrated by this.

What you should look out for before joining Article Writing Websites

Is It Free To Join?

Is It a interactive website?

Has It got a very active community?

You will find that most of the article submission websites have various payment plans, my advice to you is never pay for anything until you check your stats in each website that you join. Once you know which of your articles are the most popular in terms of being downloaded and shared by other people. Then and only then should you be willing to part with you’re dollars

A interactive website is basically a site where you are allowed to post comments. Providing that you have something interesting to say, your comments will be allowed in the majority of cases. On most article submission websites such as Ezine articles, Go articles, and Article dashboard.com. You will find that hardly anybody will post any comments on your work. This is not something that you should worry about and I will explain why later.

At this point, I think that it is important that you know the difference between the websites that I’ve just mentioned in the above paragraph when compared to Bukisa and eHow com. If you’re main goal is to make money from your writing then, my advice to you is to avoid joining Ezine articles and the rest shown above.

These article submission websites are excellent for reach, reputation, and back links for your e-Marketing, but this will only be of use to you if you have you’re own website or blog. On the other hand, Bukisa and eHow are revenue sharing websites, this basically means that you not only have the potential to earn money from writing your articles. You also can make money by introducing others, and by being an active member.

“Going back to what I was saying earlier about Go articles and Article dashboard” the reason why nobody hardly ever post comments on these websites is because there is no incentive for its members, so you get a non active community. This is in complete contrast to revenue sharing websites which usually have both in abundance.

Being a active member of a revenue sharing website will bring you both long and short term benefits. Posting your comments on ehow members articles helps you to make friends and business contacts very quickly, not to mention a surge of visitors
eager to view your own articles.

Of course, when participating on these websites your long term goal should be to become every body’s favourite expert in your chosen subject. You will only reach this status if you write quality articles and not SPAM. Your reward for doing this
will be happy eHow and Bukisa members more than willing to refer your articles to their friends and business associates.

Helping Clients Overcome ?Their? Writer?s Block!

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

If you write for a living, that is, if you write articles for clients you often have heard about writer?s block. Personally, I think the topic is overdone and simply something that comes about when the author is too tired, distracted, or simply not interested in the topic at hand [oh, yes?this does happen!] On the other hand, do your clients sometimes suffer from writer?s block? Okay, before you throw your hands up wondering how could this be, just think about it: do your clients always know what they want you to write? Am I making myself clear? If so, read on?if not, please read this paragraph again!

As writers, we can assume that when a potential client approaches us to write for them, that they always know which topics they want you to cover. Without sounding cheeky, only if this was always so! To put it mildly, you may have a client who wants you to write ?X? amount of articles, which he or she will place on their own web site in hopes of building up SEO [search engine optimization, that is], and your part of the equation is to write interesting and compelling copy that will drive traffic to their site.

Well, this only works out if your client knows exactly which topics/subjects are to be covered, keywords used, and the length of each article. No, your client isn?t going to write the article, but they will certainly lay its foundation. No web content article can possibly get going without your knowing certain essentials including the topic and which keywords are to be utilized. Make certain that these building blocks are included with your proposal, otherwise you risk going down one path while your client wanted you to go down another.

Unless you have plenty of time to constantly rewrite every article I recommend that you uncover precisely what the client wants from you.

When I sense that a client isn?t sure which direction they want me to proceed, I then start asking several questions, including:

Do you have a topic you want covered? If so, what is it and do you want me to come up with the article title or is this something that you would like to do? Knowing this information will help you create the introductory paragraph and your topic sentence.

Next questions: which keywords do you want me to use? I try to limit my clients to a small group of 2-4 words per article. Additional keywords mean additional articles?why confuse your readers? Why kill SEO? As I write this article for you do you have 3-4 points you want me to make? All of this information will comprise the article?s body.

Finally, what sort of ?call to action? are you desiring? Do you want readers to buy a product? Read something else? Call their representative? I leave the anchor links up to the client, but I try to bring the article exactly to the point where the client wants it to be.

If you have gotten satisfactory answers to each of your questions, you have helped your client get over their own case of writer?s block. Yes, to a certain point every client has already visualized what they want written [they bring you on because they don?t know how to craft the right words or are simply too busy to write for themselves]. If they haven?t, you must help them answer the previous questions in order for you to write effectively.

If you don?t take the time to make certain that your client is sure of what he or she wants, you will have wasted time and delayed the opportunity to go to the next project.

I don?t know about you, but time is of the essence and we writers cannot afford to waste any of it. Nail down exactly what your client wants before tackling any project to save yourself time and to preserve your sanity!

Getting The Most From Your Article Submitter Software

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

If you are serious about Ezine article writing you do need an article submitter. It is, in fact, an articles writers most important tool. The latest generation are faster, have more automatic features, and continually update their databases. Article writing has continued to increase in popularity because the once dreaded time consuming submittal chore has been made so easy. Some of the latest generation article submitters not only submit the articles, but actually provide software to help you write the article! This almost sounds too good to be true, but current reviews praise article creator software.

If you are reading this article you have made a choice on how to drive traffic to your website. There are three ways to get targeted traffic, buy it, borrow it, or create it. Without a doubt, Ezine article writing does drive targeted traffic to your site. Just as true is the fact that Ezine article writing takes more work than the other options.

Enter the article submitter software program. Without this valuable tool it would be physically impossible to submit the number of required articles to the hundreds of article submit sites for the needed exposure. You enter your article details into the software once, and then select the directories you would like to submit to. The software will automatically fill in all of the submission criteria saving you an incredible amount of time. Another time saver is the fact that most article submitters come with a database of article submit sites, that is continually updated for you. If you have ever tried to compile a list on your own, you know that the database alone is worth much more than the cost of the submitter program!

A word of caution here. Do not get involved in robot spam type submitter programs or companies that do this. This type of sloppy submittal is frowned upon, a nuisance to the submit sites, and can get you banned from the best article sites, and even the search engines. The article submit site provides a tremendous exposure for your article, and free. You owe it to them to be professional, login properly, submit your article to the correct category, and logout. A proper article submitter will do just that, saving you the tedious manual cut and paste time, and saving the site server time.

Let us look more closely at “Quality articles quickly submitted to hundreds of submit sites is the key to being a successful Ezine article writer”. Your Ezine article has a short life span. Once published, it has 24 hours on the “most recent articles” page of a particular article submit directory. The directories main page is the only page scanned by the search engines, that increases your SEO. Sadly, the next day your article has been replaced by many newer articles on the same subject. After its moment of fame has passed it will still get read by the sites readers, and if good picked up by other directories and sources needing articles. Recently I wrote a travel article that was picked up by several major International tour companies and enjoyed a month of exposure as their featured article of the month. Some sites accept and publish your article within hours, others days, weeks, or even months. Actually this is good, as during the time you are submitting to several hundred sites, your article is “the most recent” on some site. However, at some point your article will become stale, and your website stats will show a drop-off in visitors. Have your next new article submitted well before this happens.

An article submitter is the most important tool an article writer can have. Why then, do article submitter programs draw the “penny wise pound foolish” crowd like a magnet. Some amusing examples for you. One submitter gives a 3 day free trial. Stories abound about the users who download the program and stay up day and night drinking coffee and making submittals for the 3 free days. Another good submitter program gives a free trial version with a database of 85 sites. The full version with hundreds of sites is reasonably priced, but most users just stick with the free version. I am not a gifted psychic, but I can guarantee you that none of these users are making any money from writing and publishing Ezine articles. How do I know that? Quite simple, “Quality articles quickly submitted to hundreds of submit sites is the key to being a successful Ezine article writer”. Sure, not buying the article submitter program is a loss for the company, but a far worse loss for the writer by limiting their article exposure, the very thing that has the potential to make them money.

As you can see, the two things go hand in hand, many articles submitted to hundreds of submit sites. Do not cut corners with your article submitter program, it is the key to your success. And, be sure to look into the new article creator programs that speed up your article writing. To your success!
