Many people try many different ways to market a web site, or affiliate program. But I have come across some very good ways to market a site and get it in the search engines fast! I am going to discuss 3 different types of free marketing strategies; Blogs, Social Networks, and Forums.
One of the most powerful is a site that allows you post articles about whatever site you want to promote. Also many people use these sites so join a few groups after creating your blog and you will get even more people looking at your site.The Squidoo Lens you created is also powerful because it is already SEO friendly so you really don’t need to do that much work to get it picked up by the search engines.
Now for social networks. Twitter, Direct Matches, Yuwie, My Space are just a few. You can create a free account and write a little about whatever site you want and join some groups. You should do this because after all this is a social network of different people so go out there and get social. Also you can point people back to your blog and bring in more visitors this way and for free.
And for the grand finale! Forums, they are free sites and millions of people also use these. I would suggest finding forums that either your are interested in learning or something you know a lot about. This is important to do. What you can do to leverage these forums into traffic and a marketing tool is use a signature file. Like:

Now when you make posts on these forums and use a signature file people that look at your post will click your sites in your file to see what you are about, and just out of curiosity!
